This review is from: Saucony Women's ProGrid Guide 4 Running Shoe (Apparel) These shoes seemed the same as the previous pairs I had purchased from a local running store, but within a month, I had worn a hole through the meshy part of the toe area. The other three pairs I used to train for and walk in the Susan G Komen 3 day for the Cure. They held up through all my training walks and through the 60 miles. But this pair I bought and used primarily for running and wore it out too quickly. The hole doesn't bother me though and I'm still wearing them. I would probably still purchase another pair in the future from here because they are $20 cheaper than the running store. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: not wearing well., By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Saucony Women's ProGrid Guide 4 Running Shoe (Apparel) these are my wife's 5 pair of these shoes and this pair is not wearing well. They have a whole in the toe, not all the way through yet, but just not holding up like the past 4 pair....sort of disappointing. They are a great running shoe, just seems like this pair is a dud. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Excellent running shoe, By Neatfreak (VA, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Saucony Women's ProGrid Guide 4 Running Shoe (Apparel) A previous pair I wore running (Merrell Pace Glove, a barefoot type shoe) injured my achilles so badly so fast I was limping for months (see my product reviews for that item). The running store fitted me with this pair to get me back on my feet -no pun. This is classified as a neutral shoe (I have very mild, almost no overpronation).I bought the pair reluctantly as I don't like the way they look (a little glitzy). But my runs feel light, bouncy and stable. My tread is soft and a virtually silent pat-pat-pat in them. They make it easy to land on the mid foot. I even improved my time from 9 to 8 (sometimes 7 min) to the mile. This pair seems to have addressed some minor issues I had with other shoes, e.g. little aches in the hip area. No pain, more gain. Nuf said. I hope they last! |
